Anyone have any idea why my laptop is gaining time?  I haven't installed any new software or done any updates.  I might have had some corporate office stuff pushed out but that isn't impacting any other computers.  No virui.

Anything I can google about system time indicates that it should be slowing down not speeding up.  It makes sense that would indicate a dying motherboard battery, but speeding up? I'm at a loss.

Before turning it back just a minute ago, it was my August 14 2011.  Is death certain looming? Anyone?

My bet is that you picked up a nuisance virus somewhere along the line (even though you are saying nope); I'd use one of the free online virus scanners to check it. The battery is the only other thing I know for sure makes clocks go wonky.
